2017 – 2025 IEEE Presence in Kazakhstan

The IEEE Kazakhstan Subsection (R8009909) was established on June 24, 2017. The organizer was Alex James. In 2017 Subsection consisted of 28 voting members (2 GSMs, 18 Members, 8 Senior Members) and 35 Undergraduate Student Members.

The IEEE Kazakhstan Section officially transitioned from a subsection to a full section in January 2026. It serves as the local hub for the world’s largest technical professional organization, focusing on advancing technology in electronics, IT, and power engineering.

IEEE Kazakhstan Section: Successful Petition

On April 2026, the Section consisted of more than 346 members (including >180 voting members).
