Dr. Didar Yedilkhan, Chair of the IEEE Kazakhstan Section, participated in the 127th IEEE Region 8 Committee Meeting, held on 20\u201321 August 2026 in Glasgow, Scotland, United Kingdom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The meeting brought together IEEE Region 8 leaders and representatives to review ongoing activities, discuss strategic priorities and coordinate future initiatives across the Region. The programme included reports from regional leadership, executive sessions and discussions focused on strengthening cooperation among IEEE Sections and supporting the continued development of IEEE\u2019s professional, technical and volunteer communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

IEEE Region 8 encompasses Europe, the Middle East and Africa, making its Committee Meetings an important platform for exchanging experiences, sharing effective practices and aligning regional and local activities with IEEE\u2019s broader mission of advancing technology for the benefit of humanity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Participation in the meeting provided the IEEE Kazakhstan Section with a valuable opportunity to contribute to the regional dialogue, learn from the experience of other Sections and explore new possibilities for international cooperation. The discussions also addressed approaches to supporting IEEE members and volunteers, expanding professional and educational activities, and increasing the impact of IEEE initiatives at both regional and national levels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The IEEE Kazakhstan Section looks forward to applying the insights and outcomes of the meeting to its future work in Kazakhstan. The knowledge and connections gained in Glasgow will support the development of meaningful local initiatives, stronger engagement with members and volunteers, and new opportunities for collaboration within the wider IEEE Region 8 community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Section remains committed to strengthening Kazakhstan\u2019s representation within IEEE and delivering activities that contribute to the development of engineering, technology, education and research in the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
