The Executive Committee (ExCom) of the IEEE Kazakhstan Section has approved the Election Committee for the upcoming IEEE Kazakhstan Section Officer Elections in accordance with the IEEE Member and Geographic Activities (MGA) Operations Manual, Section 9.13.

The Election Committee has been appointed as follows:

  • Chair: Muslim Sergaziyev, Director of the School of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, Astana IT University
  • Teller / vTools Lead: Aidana Zhalgas, Researcher and PhD Candidate, Astana IT University
  • Member: Madina Ipalakova, Director of the Department of Science, International Information Technology University

The Election Committee is responsible for ensuring that the election process is fair, transparent, and fully compliant with the IEEE MGA Operations Manual and IEEE Policies.

Its responsibilities include preparing a slate of candidates for the offices of Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary, Treasurer (or Secretary/Treasurer), as well as any other elected at-large positions within the IEEE Kazakhstan Section. The proposed slate will be submitted to the IEEE Kazakhstan Section ExCom for approval in accordance with the procedures defined in the IEEE MGA Operations Manual.
